Phil Garris, Mr. Sunshine State 2003 St. Petersburg, Florida
Phil journeyed to Florida in 2000 when his partner, Steve, landed a job, being ready to escape the cold weather. Later, on a visit to Fort Myers, Phil found Unity Gain Studios, where he recorded an album. In 2004, he and Steve moved to St. Petersburg, and performed at Grand Central Station, Suncoast Resort and the St. Pete Pride Street Festival. He is happy to have been a part of the inaugural Winter Pride Tampa Bay event in February 2006. Phil has also performed at the Stonewall Festival in Fort Lauderdale the past 2 years. He hopes that his reintroduction to the stage will open the door to reenter the studio and produce another album, so he can give his music to a wider audience. |
